Deck the Halls!

With Thanksgiving over and Danú and Messiah launching the holidays off, the center had to get ready for the festive season. Our team got to work and finished our center Christmas tree ahead of schedule!

Those who ushered in the last week got to see a firsthand look at the tree now decking our lobby and everyone else got to see the final picture last week. However, it’s always fun to show our ushers the “backstage pass” and “the making of” things that happens in the center, so enjoy “The making of the center Christmas tree, 2013 edition.”

The ornaments and Christmas tree are delivered in very large cardboard boxes. We have to empty out the boxes and place them on the ground, taking over the center's main mezzanine for a day.

Unlike other trees, the center Christmas tree must be built from the top down since it requires a lift and a ladder to install.
